INDOOR CRICKET WORLD

World Cup

The 2000 Indoor Cricket World Cup starts in October this year, in South Africa. This is the third time this event has been held - previous World Cups were held in the United Kingdom (1995) and Australia (1998).

News Flash (Aug 24) !!!! Teams confirmed as competing this year were Australia (the current title-holders), New Zealand, Zimbabwe, the United Kingdom, South Africa and, for the first time, India. However, reliable overseas sources have just informed Indoor Cricket World of the exciting news that Pakistan have officially entered a team, and Sri Lanka are in the process of arranging the participation of theirs. Details have not yet been finalised, and until they are the South African organisers cannot publish the final schedule. It is expected this will be done at the beginning of next week. News as it comes to hand will be published here.

Therefore, the full Indoor Cricket World Cup schedule available here in Adobe pdf format will almost certainly change. As soon as it is confirmed, the pdf file will be updated and available here. In the meantime, we have decided to leave the current schedule available to give people an idea of what to expect. But we repeat, this schedule is almost certain to be amended, so please check here frequently before booking your airline tickets and accommodation ....

I am keen to get information on all the competing sides to present here, so any information forthcoming is most welcome. I am particularly eager to get any details of the Indian National side, and indoor cricket in India in general. If you can help, please email me
