Cryptanthus Reverie

C. "Reverie" is a beautiful plant, this one is still in good condition, although flowered out and with pup, potted in a 5 inch pot. This particular C. "Reverie" is the same plant that won the Cryptanthus Society's Warren Loose Best Hybrid Award at the Western Australian Bromeliad Society's annual Cryptanthus Competition. C. "Reverie" is a Goode Hybrid ( per the CS Reference 1992 ), it's parentage is C. fosterianus C. "Dark beauty".
This plant is from the same "litter" as the plant above, this picture was taken 9 months later, as you can see the above plant has responded well to a good diet. It measures some 24" long, the leaves are approx 2" wide. ( So cryptanthus are SMALL plants huh???? ) The genetic potential for this growth I beleive comes from the fosterianus in the cross.
