Adult Skills Courses

Be Active Paddle Academy
The Be Active Paddle Academy is run by Canoeing WA which is the state canoeing association. It takes on group bookings from a wide range of interest groups, including schools and a proportion of the older community.  At present the Be Active Paddle Academy runs Basic Skills Award lessons which enable participants to learn all the necessary skills needed to paddle.

Canoe Clubs
Both Swan Canoe Club and Ascot Kayak Club have programmes for adult beginner paddlers as well as various other programmes for more advanced paddlers at various times.

Precision Paddling Australia
Precision Paddling offers coaching and instruction to improve your speed, efficiency and control on the water, regardless of what craft you paddle. It offers instruction for paddlers just beginning and right up to athletes looking to gain that competitive edge.
For the paddler with a more relaxed motivation, regular socials paddles are also offered.

Canoeing for Kids, 2003: 10- 15 yr olds
Occasional courses are available.
Held at Ascot Kayak Club, Fauntleroy Ave., Redcliffe.

Juniors' Night at Swan Canoe Club
Come and try paddling on Wednesday nights and if you like it, join the Club to continue. For 10+ yrs, Wednesday nights, 5pm to 6:15pm. Contact Colin Priest to find out more, 9446 5505.
