A letter from Feynman

In 1986 I wrote to R.P.Feynman to ask why it was that Lambert’s law of diffuse reflection also applied to black bodies. I hoped for at most a reference from the eminent Nobel laureate but half expected a polite typed note from a secretary. Instead, I was surprised to receive a detailed hand-written letter.
