Nestled in the hills, west of Toodyay, Oliomio Farm is the home of Barbara and Francis Moran. This quiet rural retreat has evolved as a result of a desire to change from a suburban professional career towards a more self-sufficient lifestyle. History Our olive grove began in 1996 on a small scale, with our first planting of three different varieties. Having ‘fallen in love’ with the olive, we have progressively planted every year since and at this stage have 300 trees, including an experimental area with many cultivars. 2001 saw our first commercial crop harvested for table olives, tapenade and pure olive oil soap and in 2004 we produced our own olive oil and dukkah under our own brand name. Since then the grove has continued to flourish with more varieties coming into production. Complimentary to our olive production, French Lavender was planted in 1999. From our initial 1,000 plants, we have grown highly-regarded long stemmed lavender flowers for the cut flower market. For the lavender enthusiast, we have added a ‘lavender patch’, consisting of various English, French, Australian and Spanish varieties to complement our Olive Shop. Our shop showcases our olive and lavender products. |

Olives Five different cultivars form the basis of the olive grove, selected because of their dual purpose for extra virgin olive oil, table olives, tapenade and dukkah. No chemicals are used on our trees, which ensures pure, organic fruit at all times |
