Description

Single fin side cutplot.

This image is of the single fin, with a cut plane down the vertical axis. The colours represent velocities of the fluid.

Thruster rear fin cutplot

This image is of the rear fin of the Thruster configuration, with a cut plane down the vertical axis. The colours represent velocities of the fluid.

Thruster side fin cutplot

This image is of the right hand side fin of the Thruster configuration, with a cut plane down the vertical axis. The colours represent velocities of the fluid. Indicates boundary layer present on inside flat surface of side fin.

Thruster vortices

This image is of the trailing vortices formed by the Thruster configuration. The flow trajectories are coloured by velocity.

Mesh Generation

This image is of the mesh. It depicts some parts which haven’t been filled by solid mesh. This means that the solution can be made more accurate by decreasing the mesh size.

Single fin moving cut plot (5.8 Mb)

This video shows a vertical cut plot moving past the single fin.

The cut plot is coloured by velocity.

Single fin velocity isosurface (2.8 Mb)

This video shows the velocity related isosurfaces of the single fin. A caution is advised as this isn’t depicting the flow, only 3D mapping of velocity zones. Great video to show vortice formation
