A song to personify my disposition: Invisible Man (98 Degrees)
It happened again! Man, I missed my bus again this morning cause I had to wait for an old lady to buy her lotto ticket. Surely in old age there are better things to spend your money on. Even if they do win the lotto, what are they going to do with all that money when they don't even have much longer to live? Give it to their descendents? Why don't they just stop wasting money in the first place then? They could just save it to give to their offspring.
I really don't understand old people. As I was waiting to get on my late bus, another event made me question the mentality of our society's senile citizens. As my bus pulled towards the curb, I stood patiently waiting. The bus stopped right in front of me and the doors opened. Even before I moved my feet and old lady sprang out of no where cut in front of me and hopped onto the bus. Instead of dipping a ticket and taking a seat, she stood in front of the driver fumbling for change, holding up the people behind her. What I don't get about this situation is, why be in such a rush to get on the bus, and then hold up everyone else? If you know you're going to be slow, why not let the other people get on first? It's not like the bus is going to leave.
I don't mean to sound anti-elderly or anything. I know plenty of nice elderly folk and I'm pretty certain I will be old one day too (unless I die early, which at this stage I would rather). But it seems to me that people grow more arrogant with age. It's almost like they expect the whole world to slow down for them, and they don't realise that people can't afford the kind of time that they have to waste.
Maybe I'm just a task minded person as opposed to being people minded. so I hate to see inefficiency. I'm probably being totally inconsiderate of their condition, but hey, this is MY blog and I'll rant if I want!
