This is the Church's message-now! Christ is coming back! That's what we have to look forward to. We. Everybody. The whole world. And - when Christ comes back, that will be the great turning point. On that day when Christ reveals Himself to our view unexpectedly and with great power - He will judge everybody who has ever lived, and anyone who is alive on that day. His judgement will be just. His judgement will deal with everything that anyone has done. In public or in private. God is the one who gave life to each person; not to waste, and not use selfishly. He wishes to be served in that life. He wishes to be honoured in it. On the last day of this world's existence, when Christ appears on the clouds, He will pronounce His honest judgement upon all those human lives that have run their course upon the earth. What have they done with the life God gave them? Those who have used it for themselves, who have not thanked God for it, who haven't fulfilled their mandate to live for God, will be cast away into eternal misery. That is God's threat as contained in the Bible, and that is what He will do. There is no escaping it. But those who have worshipped God in their lives and have believed in Christ as their Saviour, will be allowed to enter eternal joy. When Christ returns, this world will be burnt
by fire.
Each person, without exception, will be brought
by Christ to his eternal destination. Are you sure that God's word in the Bible is not true? You think that there is no future? You think that
God doesn't exist? On what do you base that opinion? Perhaps, when you
were a child, you did believe. But you've grown out of it now. Are you
quite sure that Christ's judgement is not coming? One day, your mistake will become terribly apparent.
Christ Himself said, "Behold I am coming soon, bringing my recompense, to repay everyone for what he has done." (Revelation 22:12) Christ Himself gave a detailed picture of the Last Judgement in Matthew 25:31-46. He concludes this paragraph with these words, "And they will go away into eternal punishment. but the righteous into eternal life. Christ Himself has foretold everything that is happening today. Just read Matthew 24:5 and the following verses: "For many will come in my name, saying, ‘l am the Christ’, and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumours of wars." "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and them will be famines and earthquakes in various places." You need only read the newspapers, and every day again you can see that it is happening. Doesn't that tell you anything? Do you know what the Bible also says? "But understand this, that in the last days them will come times of stress. For men will be lovers of sell, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, inhuman, implacable, slanderers, profligates, fierce, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God..." (2 Timothy 3:1-5) Don't you see that you are living in the time
of which the Bible speaks in these words?
Nation, nation, nation, hear the Word of God! That is why Christ's Church calls on you, seriously, urgently, to seek God and to believe in Christ. We don't know when Christ will return. In Matthew
24:36 we read that Christ said, "But of that day and hour not one knows."
We'll have to be satisfied with that.
The Word of God doesn't lie; it is the truth, the only truth! Many refuse to accept it, because they don't want to he confronted and corrected by it. Others warp it to adapt it to their demands. God doesn't allow that. We must accept it, in its entirely! God's Word is still proclaimed faithfully. There are still churches in Australia where the unadulterated Gospel of God's justice and mercy is still preached. Seek that preaching! Don't risk your life on the precarious toehold of your hopes, and of your opinions, and of human achievements. Stand firm on the solid foundation of God's Word. Only then will you have security, for now and
for later.
